Progeny of the 56,000gns Charolais bull Maerdy Director were again in demand when Esmor Evans staged a reduction from his Maerdy herd at Welshpool market.

Achieving the joint top price of 3500gns was Maerdy Lazy, an in-calf heifer that is full sister to the 18,000gns Maerdy Jehu. Buyer was R M Hughes, Oswestry.

Sharing top spot was a Tattenhall Impeccable heifer that is full sister to the £25,000 Maerdy Impeccable which stood male champion at this years Royal Highland Show for Sandy Innes.
