Martin may have to sell farm

FARMER Tony Martin faces having to sell his farm to finance his appeal against shooting dead a teenage burglar, reports The Daily Telegraph.

His solicitor said that Mr Martin needs to raise 200,000 following a Court of Appeal decision to deny him legal aid.

Mr Martin, 55, was jailed for life for killing Fred Barras, 16, and wounding accomplice Brendon Fearon, 30, after they broke into his home.
