Mist helps clear the air of harmful bugs
AIR quality in intensive livestock buildings can be improved to benefit animal health using Promist, claims natural animal health supplier Provita.
The air cleanser is said to help reduce infections by airborne pathogens as part of a preventative health programme.
Promist includes organic acids which inhibit airborne micro-organisms by reducing environmental pH, and herb oils that ease congestion in animals with respiratory infections, it says.
It recommends using mechanical misting machines, available from about £250, to fog Promist into buildings.
The 25-litre packs cost £137.50 and buyers will receive an extra 5 litres free until July (01662-252352).
