Murray at helm

NORMAN Murray from Coleraine has been appointed chief executive of the Young Farmers Clubs of Ulster and will take up the post in June following the retirement of Mrs Pam Robinson, the current secretary.

He is an agriculture graduate of Queens University of Belfast with post-graduate qualifications in farm business economics and marketing. Norman, who is one of only 25 Nuffield Scholars in Northern Ireland and an associate of the Royal Agricultural Societies, has spent the last two years establishing and developing Northern Irelands largest milk quota brokerage.

His first task as chief executive designate was to address the YFCU annual general meeting at Newcastle, Co Down.
