MWC joins WMF

FARMER members of Mid West Calves have given the go-ahead to become part of Wiltshire-based co-op West Midland Farmers.

Over four-fifths of the 776 members approved the move (see Business, May 2), which takes effect from Jun 1. They can now expect to receive any surplus funds later this year.

The move will allow WMFs Farmers Choice Primestock traceability scheme to supply beef producers with semen, baby and reared calves, as well as feed, other inputs and marketing services.n
