UGANDA and Mozambique are preparing to receive white farmers driven off their farms in Zimbabwe, according to The Independent
More than 300 white Zimbabwe farmers plan to buy land in western Mozambique near the Zimbabwe border, reports the paper.
Morgan Tsvangirai, Zimbabwes opposition leader, has warned that his party can no longer ignore the escalating violence in the country.
His statement came as two more people were beaten to death. The Movement for Democratic Change claims 10 of its members have now been killed.
The Daily Telegraph reports that British foreign secretary Robin Cook will offer 36 million for land reform in Zimbabwe in a bid to allay the crisis.
Squatters on white farms have led to a slump in tobacco sales during the Zimbabwes annual tobacco auctions, says the paper.
