Nothing fishy about alternative feed

AN alternative to fishmeal which can be used as a replacement on a one-for-one basis is how UFAC (UK) describe Monomega.

It is high in protein, energy and minerals and also selected oils which contain vital Omega-3 fatty acids, these are known to be beneficial in fertility and immunity, says Don Rattenbury of UFAC.

Supplied as a free-flowing meal, Monomega is well suited to home-mixers, claims the maker.

"Monomega is also nutritionally more consistent than fishmeal," says Mr Rattenbury.

In 25kg bags and bulk, Monomega costs about £445/t (01638-665923, fax 01638-667756).
