Old MF favourite returns wearing Indian clothing

By Andy Collings

INDIAN tractor manufacturer Tafe, in collaboration with Massey Ferguson, produces a range of MF look-alike tractors.

Now available in the UK, imported by Martin Richards of Dorset-based Tractors UK, the models are powered by engines manufactured in India to a Perkins specification.

Tafe – which stands for Tractor And Farm Equipment and is pronounced Taffy – will have two models on the UK market.

Mr Richards is importing a 37hp unit, which is basically the MF35, and a 47hp version. Options for the larger unit include oil immersed brakes and four-wheel drive.

The tractors can be fitted with a cab manufactured in Montenegro or, if required equipped with a roll bar. The cab is reported to have now received the necessary rops approval.

Prices start at £6950 which includes a two-year parts and labour warranty. &#42
