Payback time (I Hand, Canada)

From the point of view of a Canadian farmer I think you are very
fortunate to have any support price system.

We have to sell our production on the world market without the security of aid payments.It seems to me that European (that includes the UK) farmers have got themselves to blame for the position they are now in. You have
had years of increasing production regardless of expense and now is the start of payback time.

I think you should be very worried about competing on the world market without government aid, but then if everyone was on a level playing field we may all be better off.
