Riveting good way of punching em out
BRUTE force and ignorance is the usual technique required when removing seed drill coulter rivets.
To save time and skinned knuckles, Spaldings has developed a coulter removal tool, designed to force out the rivets on most leading makes of seed drill.
The tool uses a heat-treated steel punch which is aligned with a coulter rivet after its head has been removed. The punch is then wound-in using a spanner, forcing the rivet out through the coulter.
To withstand high forces which are applied during use, the steel screw assembly is mounted in a heavy duty forged housing. Price is £85.99. (01522-500600)
