RSPCA censured over fox-hunt ad
By FWi staff
ADVERTISING watchdogs have criticised as misleading an advertisement by the RSPCA claiming that most people oppose fox-hunting.
The advertisement claimed that independent polls showed that most people agreed with RSPCA opposition, reports The Daily Telegraph.
But an NOP opinion poll conducted just weeks before the advertisement appeared found that only 48% were in favour of a total ban.
The Advertising Standards Authority said the NOP survey contradicted the RSPCA implications, and ordered it not to imply this in future campaigns.
