CATTLEBACK-BUT ALL

IN ANEW-STYLEFORMAT

ANEW-STYLE FORMAT

THIS years Dairy Event on Wednesday Sept 18 and Thursday Sept 19 will see cattle return, once again adding to the busy schedule of seminars and trade stands.

The events cattle competition had to be cancelled last year due to foot-and-mouth. But it returns in a new format. After consultation with dairy breed societies animals will be judged on inspection only rather than using the Total Performance Evaluation (TPE) of previous years.

The popular Spotlight on Profit seminars, held in Exhibition Hall two, will include seven speakers over the two days. The 2002 programme will include DEFRA junior minister Elliot Morley, Terrig Morgan NFU, Prof John Bourne who heads the Krebs trial, John Duncan chairman of the Federation of Milk Groups, Jim Begg of the Dairy Industry Association (DIAL) and Lord Haskins ex-chairman of Express Dairies.

Trade stand bookings already total 280, some returning after their absence last year, with a full-range of products and services covered from breeding to milking equipment.

To find out whats on and whos who before you reach the show, see the official event guide in farmers weeklys Sept 13 edition. &#42
