Scotch mule ewes in price drop

PRICES commanded for Scotch mule ewe lambs have dropped at two of the regions big sales in south-west Scotland.

They were down by nearly £16 per head on last years record when the biggest one-day sales of Scotch mule ewe lambs in the country was held at Castle Douglas.

Wallets Marts saw over 18,000 sold at £67.09 a head. They were topped at £90 from Mains of Larg and followed at £80 for Craigskean.
