Shetland sheep to aid food crisis in Kosovo?

FARMERS in the Shetland Islands are considering whether to donate 4000 unsaleable sheep to the refugee crisis in Kosovo.

The Shetland Aid Trust is examining a scheme to process and can the sheep before shipment to Kosovo.

The success of the plan depends on obtaining charity aid, said a spokesman.

The sheep have been made virtually unsaleable because of low prices and the cost of shipping them to the mainland.
