Shropshires on way to Germany
PEDIGREE Shropshire sheep are to be exported to Germany and Austria this summer.
The consignment of 20 shearling ewes and three rams is the first of the breed to go abroad since the export ban was lifted after foot-and-mouth disease. Shropshire sheep are popular in Denmark, Austria and Germany, where they are used to graze conifer plantations. *
