Smithfield gets 35,000 visitors

VISITOR NUMBERS for the first three days of Smithfield Show 2004 are estimated to total 35,000.

Show organisers say they are pleased with the figure as it is on a par with previous years.

But full show attendance figures will not be available until Mon, Dec 6.

The show opened on Thursday (Dec 2) and is due to end at 5pm on Sunday (Dec 5).

Over 300 exhibitors have been in attendance, including more than 50 companies exhibiting at the show for the first time.
