AREAS of potential temperature or moisture problems in grain stores can now be identified with one instrument, before they become serious, says Protimeter on the introduction of its Grainprobe.

Calibrated for wheat, barley (11-28% moisture) and oilseed rape (5-17% moisture) it has the facility to store up to nine calibrations. Temperature measurement range is 10-50C.

Price of the Grainprobe, which weighs 1.5kg, is £495 (01628-472722).
