Straw processing by the truckload

A TRUCK-MOUNTED straw mill, fitted with a caustic soda injection system, has been launched by Lister Taylor.

Powered by a 300hp Cummins diesel, the mill has an integral loading crane and grab to shift straw bales into its chamber, while discharge is handled by an 8m (26ft) reach, hydraulically-controlled elevator. This enables large quantities of straw to be heaped up, Lister Taylor says.

With an output of up to 10t/hour – depending on the quantity and type of straw being processed – the truck-mounted mills are priced from £60,000 (01427-668063).
