Sugar – do something to stop quota cuts

ANOTHER kick in the nuts for British farmers by the Labour government and Brussels – “The proposed sugar beet quota cuts due to be brought in by spring 2001”.

Why has this topic not been headline news? For goodness sake, will farmers and agricultural students alike wake up? Write to your local MP or e-mail charles.abel@rbi.co.uk.

Otherwise more jobs will be lost and most arable farmers will go bankrupt.

Sugar production will cease in the UK if people continue to sit on their backsides and do nothing whatsoever.

Start complaining and continue to do so until you get those lying politicians to act in your interest for once.
