Tesco to label battery eggs

TESCO is to label eggs produced under the battery system. It will use the
label “eggs from caged hens”.

It follows complaints from animal welfare campaigners that consumers were
misled by terms such as “Fresh Eggs” and “Farm Fresh Eggs”.
