Tines work below discs
QUIVOGNE has introduced a set of disc harrows which incorporate a set of tines to cultivate below disc level.
The Tinemaster comes in working widths from 3.2m to 6m in five models. Tines are spaced at 60cm and arranged in an "X" formation as are the tandem discs which are spaced at 22.5cm intervals.
The discs and the tines can be adjusted for operating depth from the tractor cab. The tines can be raised or lowered together or individually, says the maker, allowing them to be used only where their action is deemed to be beneficial. Power requirement for the 3.2m model is put at about 120hp.
Price of a 4m version is £18,000. *
