UK delivered wheat slow – HGCA

OLD-CROP delivered feed wheat gained mid-week price support from futures markets, ending the week 50p-1.50 higher in the low to mid-80s.
Talk of possible competition from EU imports limited further new-crop price rises.

LATEST (March) UK wheat exports to third countries of 126,000 tonnes took the total for the season to 0.5m. Tunisia and Morocco were the key destinations for March.
March barley exports were 33,000 tonnes, with Macao taking over 60% of the total. The figures put exports for the season at 0.7m tonnes.
EU February wheat and barley exports were 247,000 and 39,000 tonnes respectively.
