Wanted:Awinner for Smithfield…
THE Royal Smithfield Club is looking for a worthy winner for its Bicentenary trophy.
The award, now in its third year, aims to recognise the man or woman who has done more than anyone else to benefit the meat and livestock industry.
Shortlisted candidates, who could include leading farmers, vets, butchers, plant or animal breeders will be invited to attend the British Festival of Meat in London. The winner will receive the Royal Smithfield Club perpetual trophy of an Armada dish set with 25 golden guineas to keep for one year.
