Wanted:Poets to write about rural matters

Bench Press is currently

looking for contributions to a new book, Country Thoughts. We especially need poets to write on any issue they believe is currently affecting the

countryside and farming

communities. Alternatively, they may choose to describe why life in the countryside is so important. What are the best and worst things about the countryside? Poets may submit up to two poems each and there is no entry fee. The book will include illustrations by Dartmoor artist Charlotte Kingsmill and a foreword by a Dartmoor Farmer.

Royalties will go to countryside charities, and the book launch

will coincide with an exhibition of Charlotte Kingsmills work,

in Exeter.

Send poems to the address below by June 15, 2000 and include a SAE .
