Warning after another farm bomb

FARM businesses have been warned to be alert after Army bomb disposal experts defused a bomb sent to an agricultural business.
The package was delivered to a company in Thirsk, North Yorkshire on Monday (12 February) and is being linked to 10 other attacks, reports the Ananova website.
Police have advised anyone involved in the agricultural trade to be alert for any suspicious packages.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police told Ananova: “Anyone connected with agriculture or animals indirectly or directly should treat their mail with caution.
“Any packages which arouse suspicion should be left untouched and police alerted.”
The business, which has not been named, is the latest firm to be hit in attacks in the last two months, which have left three people injured.
In one attack a woman working for an estate agent which deals with livestock auctions in East Yorkshire suffered a serious eye injury opening a parcel.
And a farmer received facial injuries when he opened a package containing a nail bomb.
Charity shops and agricultural suppliers have also been targeted.
It is suspected that animal rights extremists are may be behind the attacks, but no group has yet claimed responsibility.
