Web-site offers NVZmaps
NEW maps of areas where the government plans to impose nitrate restrictions have been published on the Internet.
But farmers with land bordering the zones are still unsure how they will be affected because the maps do not show field boundaries. Final boundary maps will not be available until next month
Interactive maps, to a scale of 1:10,000, of proposed Nitrate Vulnerable Zones were published by DEFRA on Tuesday (Aug 13).
Officials will send farmers paper copies and a fully comprehensive information pack later in September.
