Scottish farming faces many new challenges and there is no room for complacency, even in the sectors that have seen much-needed prices rises, delegates at one of Scotland’s leading farm conferences were told this week.

Speakers at the SAC Outlook conference in Edinburgh also heard how the industry needed to embrace GM technology and take the public with it to avoid crippling increases in feed costs.
