Green energy event offers practical help
Practical advice on how to get involved with a range of different energy generating projects will be the focus of a farmer-to-farmer event next month.
The “Carbon cutting farming – Getting it from the horse’s mouth” event will explore why “carbon-aware farming” is important and how various green energy projects work on-farm, including risk assessments and grant funding. It will feature practical examples from farmers who have carried out a range of projects.
The event will be held at Westmill wind farm, near Swindon on 10 June. It has been organised by Farm Carbon-cutting Toolkit, a not-for-profit, farmer to farmer information sharing organisation. Tickets cost £25 for farmers or £40 for corporate visitors. Go to www.farmcarbon.org.uk for more information or email adamtwine@phonecoop.coop
