INCREASED confidence in the long-term money markets, following chancellor Gordon Browns decision to grant independence to the Bank of England, has allowed the AMC to cut fixed term interest rates. Five-year money has moved down from 9.25% to 9.15%, 10-year from 9.65% to 9.4% and 20-year from 9.99% to 9.75%.
