Now it’s ‘up to £100m’ for farming
THE Governments farm aid package will be “up to £100 million”, agriculture minister Nick Brown told the House of Commons yesterday (Thursday).
A formal announcement will be made on Monday or Tuesday. The measures will be “specifically targeted” at the current problems in the industry.
Earlier newspaper reports put the figure at about £50m.
